NoDIT v2 RCx upgrade patch

Download latest RC4 Patch

The graphical documentation below explains the upgrade from RC2 to RC3, but all other patches (like the RC4 patch) work in the same way. Read it and follow the guidelines at the very bottom.

To Upgrade your existing NoDIT v2 RC2 Access database to the latest RC3 version, please first download the patch and unzip it.

Open your existing NoDIT2 RC2 (called nodit from now on), enter your name as prompted and go to the Window/Unhide menu as shown below and select the only entry that show up next (something like "NoDIT_RC2 : Database").

Next enlarge the new unhidden Database window shown below to fit your screen.

You will first have to remove some objects of your existing nodit and later replace them with the patch objects.

So start by deleting (press the del-key) the "Forms / KeywordsSF" object shown below:

Then also delete the "Main" object just below the KeywordsSF.

Lastly remove the deletes object in "Modules / deletes" from your nodit:

For convenience resize the nodit window to half of your screen and also open the unzipped patch access file.
Try to arrange both access Database windows next to each other as shown below, so its easy to use drag and drop:

In the next steps we gonna replace those objects with the new ones included in the patch file by dragging them from the patch window and dropping them on your nodit window as shown below for the "Forms / Main" object.

! Please continue like this with all available objects in your downloaded patch !

The documentation above explains all objects for the RC3 patch, but all other patches work in the same way.
Just look at the existing objects in your patch NoDIT, remove the ones with the same name (if they exist) from your old NoDIT and drag the new ones over to your old NoDIT.

That's it!
This is everything you need to do.

You can close both files, delete the patch file and use your nodit like you have done before.
